2. Check the texture. Expired and spoiled powder eye shadow will appear clumping and breaking, while liquid eye shadow will solidify and dry out.

3. Smell. When the eye shadow deteriorates, it will have a strange musty or chemical smell. This may be caused by improper storage. It is best not to continue using the eye shadow in this situation.

4. Water-oil separation. Expired powder eye shadow may have a layer of water droplets on its surface, while liquid eye shadow may have glitter flakes and liquid separated, which proves that the eye shadow has expired or deteriorated.

Broken eye shadow can be repaired. You only need to use a little alcohol to help it restore its shape. The main tools are alcohol, toothpicks, small plastic boards, plastic wrap, and paper towels. First, we use toothpicks to crush the broken eye shadow until it is the same size as fine sand and turns it into powder. Then drop a small amount of alcohol and let the eye shadow absorb it thoroughly. When the eye shadow becomes very wet, we can use toothpicks to smooth the surface and then wrap it with plastic wrap. At this time, you can take out the prepared plastic board and press it on the eye shadow. Be sure not to press it hard. Finally, when the water inside is completely gone, you can press it with a paper towel and the eye shadow will be repaired.

The choice of eyeshadow color should be based on the skin color of the makeup wearer, the clothing style and the occasion to be attended.
