Accessory breasts can grow nipples. Accessory breasts are a congenital developmental malformation caused by the incomplete degeneration of excess mammary glands during the embryonic period. Some accessory breasts have no glands, but some have normal glands and nipples. Accessory breasts do not affect normal life, but may cause patients to develop breast cancer, but the chance of this happening is very small. If the accessory breasts are large and have seriously affected the patient's appearance, surgical removal can be used for treatment.

Generally, the presence of accessory breast under the armpits may be related to breast hyperplasia. It may be caused by the hyperplastic lesions, or it may be congenital accessory breast.
