Can foreign garbage clothes be worn after washing? How to disinfect foreign garbage clothes

Foreign garbage clothes refer to various clothes of unknown origin. These clothes may come from the United States, Japan, South Korea and other countries. They are obtained from scrap yards, hospitals and even funeral homes. They are sold directly to customers after a simple cleaning. Can you wear this kind of clothes when you buy them home?

Can I wear foreign garbage clothes after washing them?

After washing clothes, there may still be bacterial infection. Many diseases are transmitted through clothes, so you must do a good job of protection. It is best to use 84 for disinfection, or don't wear clothes that others have worn, so as not to cause other inflammations and unnecessary troubles, skin diseases, and other inflammations of the body.

How to disinfect foreign garbage clothes

It is more reliable to use special clothing disinfectant.

Some people like to soak clothes in hot water first, thinking that this can sterilize and disinfect. However, this is just psychological comfort. Although hot water washing can indeed disinfect, the premise is that the water temperature remains unchanged.

Taking the common Candida albicans as an example, it needs to be soaked in boiling water at 100°C for at least 20 minutes to be killed, but this effect cannot be achieved in actual operation.

Don't soak clothes for too long before washing, otherwise the dissolved dirt is likely to contaminate the clothes again, and it is also easy to cause the clothes to deform and shrink. Generally speaking, soaking for 15 to 20 minutes is enough, and don't exceed 30 minutes.

How to thoroughly disinfect second-hand clothing

1. Prepare a bottle of Dettol disinfectant. Because the clothes are worn by people, they are inevitably stained with sweat, grease and even blood. I don’t know what the hygiene habits of the previous owner of the clothes were, so using disinfectant is essential. Although you can directly put it into the washing machine for washing, I think it is better to sterilize it deeply.

Soak thoroughly for 15 minutes according to the instructions (disinfectant and water 1:50).

2. Hand wash. After soaking in disinfectant, take out the clothes, rinse them, and then hand wash them. Add a little water to reduce the dilution of the detergent. Scrub a large area first, then the key parts: collar, armpits, chest and back. These places are most likely to turn yellow and accumulate bacteria due to sweat.

3. Repeat the above steps after drying: Because I am a mysophobia, this is psychologically acceptable.

4. Bleaching.

5. Machine wash. The reason is still my psychological effect.

6. Expose to the sun. The high temperature of the sun and the ultraviolet rays in it can kill bacteria. This way, I feel a little relieved.

What should I do if I wear foreign garbage clothes?

Don't worry if you wear foreign garbage clothes. Disinfect them in time, such as by exposing them to the sun. If you have symptoms on your skin, you should seek medical attention in time. Foreign garbage clothes come from foreign garbage dumps or even hospital morgues. Moreover, they contain various foreign diseases and infectious sources, and they have always been strictly prohibited from entering the country.
